Purpose of research: Applied research

Objectives are: 1) investigations of the role and contribution of probiotic lactic acid bacteria to the stabilisation of the intestinal tract by using of in-vitro and in-vivo model systems. 2) exploring the restoration of the normal micropopulation following intestinal disturbances / dysbiosis (e.g. treatment with antibiotics). 3) informations on the metabolic properties and functional properties of intestinal lactic acid bacteria (such as adhesion on intestinal epithelial cells and extracellular matrix proteins, induction of cytokines etc.).
