This project contributes to the research aim 'Food and consumer protection'. Which funding institutions are active for this aim? What are the sub-aims? Take a look:
Food and consumer protection

Project code: MRI-PBE-08-13
Contract period: 01.01.2001 - 31.12.2028
Purpose of research: Applied research

Bioavailability of bioactive food compounds plays an important role for their bioactivity in human. Most of the nutrients are absorbed from the small intestine. The objective of the project is to investigate the molecular mechanisms of cellular uptake, metabolism and transepithelial transport of bioactive food compounds like polyphenols, carotenoids in a number of in vitro model systems such as in vitro digestion/Caco-2cell/Transwell model system.
