Production processes

Project code: JKI-SG-08-2196
Contract period: 01.01.2005 - 28.02.2008
Purpose of research: Applied research

WDV can be transmitted only by plant leaf hoppers. Consequently, resistance testing is faced with the problem of standardisation. A method will be developed to use infectious clones of both forms of the virus for infection. Success of infection by means of infectious clones will be compared to conventional methods. In addition, sequence data will be used to further improve diagnostics of the virus.
