Project code: BfR-BIOS-08-1336-107
Contract period: 01.07.2017 - 31.03.2018
Purpose of research: Inventory & Assessment

In the past project co-operation "Warenströme" between the BfR and the LANUV NRW further meaningful solution approaches were identified and developed, which could not be pursued due to a limited budget and project period. These should now be examined in a follow-up project and implemented as possible. In this follow-up project, a crisis case is to be simulated with the support of food companies and the responsible food control in the municipalities. This field study is intended to represent practically all the necessary data and information that must be generated and processed in the event of a crisis in the context of traceability, and to map the data streams as realistically as possible. It is envisaged that the data acquisition should be carried out with the support of LANUV NRW and BfR by the regional planning authorities. The District Authority can carry out the data acquisition itself. In the run-up, it is necessary to check the extent to which data structures of the participating companies can be taken over directly. The crisis case to be followed up has already been prepared in advance so that a clear place of contamination can be identified in the context of the crisis. The extent to which the participating companies can provide real data for the field study will be examined in advance of the project.
