Project
Project code: JKI-AT-08-1142, 391697993
Contract period: 01.02.2018
- 31.01.2021
Purpose of research: Applied research
This is a project within the call DFG-NSFC 2017. The utilization of unmanned aerial vehicles for pesticide application is an interesting alternative to conventional application techniques in several crops. This technique has been used already in China whilst in Germany the application in steep slope vineyards is of interest. The aim of the project is, in addition to prove of sufficient application quality, to provide valid spray drift data that can be used for risk analysis necessary for permission of those applications. Whilst the focus of the Chinese partner is on application quality, the German partner’s key aspect is spray drift.
