Purpose of research: Applied research
The start-up phase of a biogas plant has a strong influence on the efficiency and economy within the first year of operation. Especially for mono-fermentation plants of energy crops only few informations are available how to achieve a high gas production at stable process conditions within a short time. The aim of the project is to develop a new start-up strategy in laboratory scale and to test the method at the full-scale plant.
