Comparative biological and molecular analysis of novel CpGV isolates

Project

Production processes

This project contributes to the research aim 'Production processes'. Which funding institutions are active for this aim? What are the sub-aims? Take a look:
Production processes

Project code: JKI-BI-08-1162
Contract period: 01.04.2010 - 31.08.2010
Purpose of research: Applied research

The aim of the project is the molecular and biological characterisation of novel CpGV isolates, which are able to overcome CpGV resitance that was observed in Germany and other European countries. The biological characterization will be done by bioassays in susceptibe (CpS) and CpGV resistant (CpRR1) codling moth strains, the molecular characterization will be done by DNA restriction analyses. These investigations will strengthen the understanding of the biological activity and genetic diversity of CpGV isolates and will therby improve the possibilities to control the codling moth.
