Purpose of research: Experimental development
There is a rising need for energy-efficient development in the agricultural industry and pro-duction of farm machinery due to existing EU legislation and rising popular environmental awareness. To solve these problems the Agro-MICoS project was developed, which is a manufacturer independent precision farming, documentation and management system based on a physical data collection and processing box. Its main aim is to provide a holistic and process-oriented information management solution for precision farming and energy effi-ciency of agricultural machines. The result of the project is a hard- and software solution for manufacturer independent data measurement and collection. For working with the huge data volume algorithms for process and machine data analysis were developed. The system is able to document and optimize farming processes. Tests on farms show the potential of the solution for optimizing the pro-duction processes and the energy efficiency of the agricultural machines.
