Project code: JKI-ÖPV-08-1292
Contract period: 01.09.2013 - 31.03.2014
Purpose of research: Applied research

This work focuses on the development of calibration models for valuable plant ingredients of blue sweet lupin varieties by mid infrared (MIR) and Raman spectroscopy. The required plant material as well as the needed reference values for protein, fat, carbohydrate and alkaloid content will be provided by the Institute for Resistance Research and Stress Tolerance (Dr. G. Jansen) and the Saatzucht Steinach GmbH and are part of the joint research project 'Neue Sorten der Blauen Süßlupine als Rohstoff für die Lebensmittelindustrie - LupiRoh'. Besides the quantitative characterization of ground lupin samples also the spatial distribution of alkaloids within fresh plant leaves should be investigated by FT-IR imaging and Raman mapping.
