Project code: 2813OE009
Contract period: 01.12.2013
- 30.06.2014
Budget: 28,798 Euro
Purpose of research: Applied research
AöL (Germany) and VBP/Bionext (Netherlands) established in this project a common Risk Assessment Model for quality assurance (Organic Assurance) for small and medium seized organic processing and trading companies (SME). The Organic Assurance is very practical and ready for implementation into the overall quality management system of SMEs.
The model has been developed by the applicants in cooperation with two companies specialized in food quality management, Précon and Timili. They developed - in strong cooperation with a working group of SMEs and control body representatives in Germany and the Netherlands - a risk assessment model together with a risk assessment tool and a guideline (handbook), for organic processors. Results were presented to all interested stakeholders. The focus was above all set on a professional implementation manual for Art. 26 of regulation 889/2008.
Additionally, the guideline is meant to improve the interface with the control and make it more efficient from the point of view of self-responsibility and risk orientation.
