Climate protection with renewable drive systems on state-owned research farms (KlimaTrak)
Project
Project code: G2/KS/18/01
Contract period: 01.07.2018
- 30.06.2022
Purpose of research: Applied research
The state-owned experimental agricultural farms of the Bavarian State Research Centre for Agriculture are setting a good example: tractors and other machines are to be operated in an environmentally friendly manner in the future. On the one hand, machines with combustion engines that run on climate-, soil- and water-friendly biofuels are scientifically accompanied. These include, for example, rapeseed oil fuel, biodiesel and biomethane. On the other hand, hybrid drives with electric motors and internal combustion engines as well as solely battery-powered machines are also in the focus of research work.
