Purpose of research: Basic research

The project section aims to provide highly resolved optimal flux estimations of CO2 and water between the atmosphere and soil/vegetation under the influence of heterogeneous, but structured surface patterns and organized atmospheric processes. The project intends to apply advanced spatio-temporal data assimilation methods as key technique, to combine all available information from models, campaign and routine measurements and retrievals.
